Sixth Annual Club Challenge Cup Marathon Relay

Members of Wicked took to the Track on Saturday to compete in the Sixth Annual Club Challenge Cup held at Tufts University. As you can see by the group photo there were lots of smiles all around. Even Miles Fartlek got in the action, sitting on Kyle Hewson’s lap to pose for the picture!

Dave Long sprinting to the finish line!

Team Wicked did very well for it’s first year, placing 5th overall with a time of 2:56:01. Wicked was lead by Dave long who ran a fantastic time of 4:57. Not to be out done by his son, Joe long ran a 8:02 taking first place in the 70+ division.

Bethany Hyde and Melissa Shea hanging out after finishing their 1 mile runs.

The relay was hosted by the Somerville Striders, who proved to be very good on the track, winning the relay in 2:23:10. The also proved to be very good hosts as they had plenty of water for all the runners and had some delicious pizza delievered at the conclusion of the relay!

Miles having a well deserved slice of pepper and onion pizza, yum!

Great job to all the Wicked Runners who ran! A big thank you to Allison Rourke and Rachel Somogie who were the official timers for Team Wicked. This was a really fun event to be part of and hopefully Wicked can bring two teams to the 7th Annual Club Challenge Cup!
