Salem Runner Friendly Businesses

Are you a Runner Friendly Business or do you know one in Salem? Well, we would love to hear from you!

Recently Salem was desingated as a Road Runners Club of America Runner Friendly Community. With that designation we were also awarded a number of Runner Friendly Business window decals.

Our goal is to highlight businesses in Salem that support the running community and help strengthen it. If you are a business owner that meets 2 or more of the RRCA guideline bullet points below and are willing to hang the RRCA Runner Friendly Business logo in your window please contact Tim Short today!

Businesses that meet the minimum requirements will have their logo listed here and linked back to either their website or Facebook page.

RRCA: Runner Friendly Business Designation

Runner friendly businesses are engaged with the running community, and they:

• host group runs and offer discounts to local running club members;
• are willing to serve as a pre or post run meeting spot;
• allow runners to use their rest rooms as needed;
• serve as safe places that runners can stop at if they need to use the phone or get out of unsafe weather, or fill a water bottle to prevent dehydration; and
• support clubs through race sponsorships including in-kind donations, publicity, etc.
