In almost a carbon copy of last year’s race, snow made things interesting once again at this year’s Mill Cities Relay. Instead of battling through falling snow for a good chunk of the race, Wicked Runners this year had to deal with a cold wind and icy conditions on the roads as they made their way from Nashua NH to Lawrence MA.
In only it’s second year of participating in MCR, Wicked as a club placed 12th out of 19 teams with 24 pts. That beats last year’s point total of 20 pts! Wicked had 10 teams compete this year compared to the 8 teams in 2008. Great job to all the teams that represented Wicked!
Thank you to the following volunteers from Wicked who stood out in the cold to make sure all the runners from MCR had a safe yet fun race; Kerry Phelan, Denise Ramsdell, and Ann Sousa. Check out the results after the break.

Congrats to all the teams that represented the Wicked Running Club yesterday at the Mill Cities Relay!
Wicked will be participating in the 26th Annual Mill Cities Relay this morning! Go Wicked!
The Wicked Running Club will be strongly represented in the 26th Annual Mill Cities Relay, which will take place on December 7th this year. Last year Wicked took 8 teams into the relay, this year we will have 10! This will be our second appearance in this invitational only relay that is held through two different states and takes runners along the Merrimack River.

It’s the start of the last month of 2009 and things are going well for the Wicked Running Club! Last week at the Wild Turkey 5 Mile Run a record tying 90 Wicked Runners came out to get their run on before hitting the roads for Thanksgiving dinner. The past few days saw a huge explosion in new sponsors for the Wicked Frosty Four. Oh and let’s not forget about the 10 teams who will be representing Wicked at the Mill Cities Relay this Sunday.
