Olde Salem Greens 5K

Wicked Running Club

It was a great day for the Wicked Running Club at the Olde Salem Greens 5K. WRC had 70 members in the race and walked away with several age group awards. A record 380 runners took part in today’s race. Olde Salem Greens 5K celebrated it’s 8th anniversary this year and while it’s considered one of the most difficult races around, it’s also one of the best organized races that runners can participate in. This is due to the great effort of Race Director Doug Bollen (also a Wicked Running Club member) and those  who assist him on race day. Wicked had a great group of volunteers helping Doug out this morning which made those crazy hills just a little easier to take on especially when you saw Peter Raymond and others cheering you on.

Group1

This was the second race in the Wicked Running Club Grand Prix Series and the latest standings can be found at Wicked Running Club Grand Prix Series.  Snapfish.com has some great photos from today’s race as well! Congrats to everyone from Wicked who ran today, GO WICKED!
