Wicked will be participating in the Salem Health & Wellness Week (April 12-17, 2010)  by teaming up with the Salem Park & Recreation Department and offering a community movie night!

Tonight,  Wicked and Salem Park & Rec will show two fantastic running movies at the Winter Island Function Hall which is located at 50 Winter Island Road in Salem, MA.  Doors will open around 6:30 pm and the movies will start at 7 pm.

The first movie that will be shown will be Fire on the Track! This is a Steve Prefontaine documentary (The best documentary on his life, Linda Prefontaine-sister of Pre). The second movie will be Spirit of the Marathon.

Spirit of the Marathon is the first ever non-fiction feature film to capture the drama and essence of the famed 26.2 mile running event. Filmed on four continents, the movie brings together a diverse cast of amateur athletes and marathon luminaries. As six unique stories unfold, each runner prepares for and ultimately faces the challenge of the Chicago Marathon. More than a sports movie, Spirit of the Marathon is an inspirational journey of perseverance and personal triumph; a spectacle that will be embraced by runners and non-runners alike.

There will be popcorn, soda, and water available. Cost of admission is nothing! A raffle will also take place with some very exciting items!
