A New Year’s Tradition
4 mile Road Race, January 1, 2013 at 10 am
Front Street, Salem, MA
6th Annual Wicked Frosty Four miler (Rain, Snow, Nor’easter, Blizzard or Shine).
Time: 10:00 am.
Location: Day of registration is at the Tavern in the Square 8:30am-9:45am. Race start is on Front Street.
Parking: Public parking lots available as well as on street parking.
Course: Very flat and fast USATF Certified 4 mile course (w/ water stops), USATF #MA10031JK.
Entry Fee: $20 for entries received by December 21st, $25 thereafter.

Packet Pick Up: Join us for some pre-holiday cheer and pick up your race packets from 10am to 4pm on December 31st at New England Running Co., Commodore Plaza, 43 Enon St., Beverly, MA 01915. Early pick up qualifies you to register for a free pair of Brooks Running shoes. Race packets can also be picked up morning of race. st

Portion of race proceeds to fund the Wicked Frosty Four Scholarship for area high school student athletes.
Awards: Trophies for overall 1st place male and female winners. Age group medals for top 3 male and females: under 19, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Results to be posted on coolrunning.com.
T-Shirts: Technical Shirts free for the first 400 applicants (sizes not guaranteed).
Post-Race: Post race food and beverages provided. Awards and a raffle will follow.

The 5th Annual Wicked Frosty Four turned out to be another record breaker! With 770 registered runners, this year’s Wicked Frosty Four broke the previous record for number of registered runners. New course records were also established! Eric Sofen came through the finish line in 21:25 to capture 1st place overall, while Christine Koch ran away with first place overall for females in a time of 24:59. The Frosty Four was also a Road Runners Club of America State Championship Race. Road Runners Club of America is the oldest and largest national association of running clubs, running events, and runners dedicated to promoting running as a competitive sport and as healthy exercise. The goal of the RRCA Championship Event Series is to shine a spotlight on well-run events and to award top performing runners in the open, masters (40+), grand masters (50+), and senior grand masters (60+) categories for both men and women.
